Kelly Lardin, a friend of ours (and mother of one of our dear goddaughters) has written a book for children about church etiquette that has just been published. I just received my copy yesterday upon arriving home and it is positively delightful. If you were familiar with Highlights magazine as a child it will remind you of the Goofus and Gallant comics used to depict the right and wrong way to behave in a given situation. Josiah and Julia take turns making the mistakes so you don't have one rotten child and one angel (because I defy any of you to point to a child that is 100% either one). Things like not blowing out the candles and kissing the icons properly are covered. Children as young as two will be able to comprehend and enjoy this book as well as somewhat older ones. It is a board book so it should last long enough to be handed down to the next toddler, even if your current one is rather 'enthusiastic' about books. It is available from Conciliar Press and you can see excerpts and order it here. I highly recommend it to anyone with young children. Thank you, Kelly!
