I am DEFINITELY in the right state.

I'm late to the party on this one but I just couldn't resist:
[Jackson, MS, May 11, 2012] Speaking to constituents in Greenville, N.C., this morning, that state’s Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue leveled an insult at Mississippians.
Perdue condemned North Carolina voters for approving a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as between one man and one woman. Unofficial counts show the amendment passing 61 to 39 percent.
She said: “People around the country are watching us, and they’re really confused, to have been such a progressive, forward-thinking, economically driven state that invested in education and that stood up for the civil rights of people, including the civil rights marches back in the '50s and '60s and '70s.
“Folks are saying, what in the world is going on in North Carolina? We look like Mississippi.”
Well, boy howdy! You have some fine, upstanding people in North Carolina and the fact that the first thing their governor thinks of is Mississippi when she looks at that landslide vote is such a complement to us folks in MS! Way to go North Carolina! And Ms. Perdue, you can put that in your pipe and smoke it. (:

What I hate most about all of this fighting is that gay marriage isn't a threat to my marriage or any marriage. It's not a threat to the church or to God. A church can decide who to marry. Adultery, pornography, and divorce are threats to marriage. Let's see those on the next amendment...
Our state voted to "defend" marriage but has 2 cities that are in the top ten for pornography consumption in the US. We live in a very broken world.
