(Ginger is hanging around the kitchen while I wash dishes.)
"Look! It's my new design for a lego car. And it's mostly all in one color. Lego sets are usually all in one color. Do you think they'll start making this car?"
"Um..."
"I think they should." (pause) "I also made Pickles' car. Did you see it?"
"Yep, you did a good job."
"Who decides what sets they make?"
"Lego's design team."
"So you have to work for Lego?"
"Mmhmm."
"I ordered their magazine...is that working for Lego?"
"No."
"Oh. Hmm."
(pause during which time I continue washing dishes)
"When I grow up I'm going to be a weather reporter. And if I can't do that, I'll be a storm chaser. And if I can't do that, I'll be a detective. And if I can't do that I'll be one of those persons who puts groceries in bags at the store."
