Prosphora Pan

Father has wanted to try this for a while and finally got one before Christmas (and I'm just now trying it out): a prosphora pan! He ordered it from The Gifted Pan.

I followed the directions precisely, using their recipe, and it turned out perfectly. I don't think my photos are the best, but you can see it well enough.

One note: I followed the directions for quantity of flour and water and used the bread machine to do the kneading for me. I noticed that I had to knead a pretty good amount of flour into it afterward so that it wasn't sticky. I may just reduce the water or add a little more flour next time.

That is nifty! Though, if you sent any of it over here for DL today, I missed it (lounging around being Under the Weather; would hate to be Dreadfully Ill, since animals don't grasp "Mommy's sick" and don't seem to think their Grandma can open a door or a can of cat food.)
And I love my bread machine too.

That turned out beautifully and it must be much easier than doing it by hand. We, usually, use the commemorative loaves at our parish, which is labor intensive. I wonder if I can get my hands on a pan like this! :)

LV, you didn't miss it. In fact, I pulled it out of the oven about five minutes before I took a picture and posted it. If Father approves it when he gets home we'll have it tomorrow. (I hope he does because I don't want to be up all night making prosphora...)

Michelle, just follow the link! This was SO much easier than making five small loaves and stamping them.
