Finally an update and pictures!

Thank you for all of your sweet comments on our announcement post! I had Father post for me since I was in the hospital with a too-weak wifi signal.

We just got home today before lunch (which in all the excitement I forgot to have). This will be short and mostly consist of photos because I'm still tired and finding it difficult to sit up to the computer.

I've had some significant pain issues so I appreciate all prayers on that front.

36 weeks 6 days

  3. She is so beautiful! Many years to baby Catherune Rose. By the way, I am amused by the photo of Father B. With a cover for his head and another for his nose and mouth, but his beard is out in the open. Just struck me as funny. Get some restvand enjoy these precious days!

  4. Trying to figure out from the smiles whose joy quotient is the highest...

What a beautiful baby she is, and such lovely siblings she has.

So glad she's here, safely and uneventfully, and you're now home. On with the babymoon!

  5. Congratulations! So pretty. I had an emergency C in May (after four natural births), so I feel your pain! The first few days are the worst, and even though it seems like the opposite of what to do, try to walk around a little bit every couple of hours. I couldn't believe it, but it really does help. And stay on top of your pain meds, even when you don't think you need them--you just had major abdominal surgery, and should think of it that way for pain management.

I'm so happy for you and your family and wish you many years and a speedy recovery!

  6. Oh, I love her little take home outfit. She looks so lovely! And you look well. Hope you are feeling better soon.

How are the kids liking the new baby? I love the photo of all of them on the couch.

We had a chuckle and Fr's big beard behind his little mask. :)

  8. I have to tell you, though, that I got a giggle out of Father and his face mask. That mask, which usually overpowers a person's face, looks positively comical orbiting his beard. :D

  9. when i had a c section, the midwife's advice was to be in bed for 2 weeks, only getting up to eat, nurse (well, not even that necessarily) and go to the bathroom. I dont know how practical that advice was (i wasnt able to follow it) but i do hope you have lots of help so you can just rest and recover. beautiful baby!!

  15. Such a precious baby and take home outfit-so cute!

Get some rest-I've had 3 c-sections so far and this last one was really hard, but in a couple of weeks I felt back to normal-just don't overdo it...easier said than done.
