Dollhouse Tour

I didn't place anything you see - Flopsy did it all. :) All I did was take pictures of it.

  1. wow! what a lovely well laid out and well decorated charming house!! I wish it was life-size, I would love visiting such a house! and it looks so peaceful! I love the icons and the baby looking up at an icon; and the bedding, the tea settings, the milk and paper waiting on the door step; it's all so very lovely!!!

    1. It's fun. :) I have to hold back and let HER play with it. I get my fun out of making the occasional item for it instead. :)

  3. I love this! I'd live in this house. :) I had a dollhouse made of cardboard boxes when I was little (that I made myself, and then made cardboard furniture for) but I always wanted something like this. (The dollhouse sketch on Sesame Street was always hugely appealing to me--it was funny to come across it again this year when I introduced the kids to the old episodes)

    1. I've had a variety of dollhouses growing up and enjoyed making things to go in them. That includes a cardboard one I made with plumbing using taped-together straws.

  5. The whole thing is beautiful! I can't wait until my little girl is ready for a dollhouse like this. I have one in process, I started building when I was 12, saved in the garage. Flopsy is a superb decorator!

    1. I think she must get it from her Aunt Emily. :) Your daughter is very lucky to have your dollhouse (one day)!

    1. Oh, you begin very, very slowly. This is the work of a few years. :) Flopsy adds to her doll house at birthdays and Christmas and whenever one of us takes it in her head to make something.

  7. I love it! I especially love the porch and all the little details. I had a doll house my Dad built for me and my grandmother gave me all the little furniture. I so wish I still had it!

Please tell Flopsy I think the doll house needs a shed turned chapel in the backyard. I'd love to see her furnish and decorate a miniature church. I think she'd do a great job!

  8. Adorable! Flopsy may or may not love my comment but I can see these rooms making a great story started for a writing assignment! There is a lot of imagination behind each detail! :)
